For a sparkling clean microwave
Cut a lemon in half and add it to a microwaveable bowl half filled with water. Place the bowl in the microwave and turn on for approximately 2/3 minutes. Once finished remove the bowl and wipe the dirt and grime easily.
For fresh smelling luggage
When travelling, keep a bar of scented soap in the same compartment as your dirty laundry. It will keep your clothes smelling clean. Alternatively stick the bars of soap you got for Xmas in your teenage son's laundry basket...
Remove odours from fabrics
Shake baking soda over the item or piece of furniture. Leave for 30 minutes before hoovering. This will then leave your furniture or fabric smelling fresh.
Looking for brighter, whiter whites?
Load your white washing to your washing machine. Pop a dishwasher tablet into the drum Wash with your normal laundry products on a hot wash Don't use the tablets with the red dot just the plain ones.
Remove those furniture drawings!
Have your adorable little ones have drawn all over the furniture with their favourite crayons or felt tips? Don't worry, rub toothpaste over the mark and rub until all traces have disappeared.
Make your glasses sparkle
Soak your glasses in a solution made of equal parts of white vinegar and warm water. Fill a basin/bowl with the vinegar and water, place your glasses in the basin/bowl and let them sit for twenty minutes. Remove and rinse the glasses and then wipe dry.

For a fresh smelling washing machine
Add a cup of white vinegar inside the empty washing machine and run on the hottest wash. This will help remove any limescale and mildew build up and of course making it work more efficiently and smell better.
For a sparkling toilet
Next time you leave a bottle or can of coke to go flat don't throw it way, pour it down your toilet. Leave for a while and then flush. It will clear away that limescale buildup.
